INTERNAL JOBS
RIT’s Student-Run Advertising & Public Relations Agency | Internal Creative Work
Technically Speaking is Rochester Institute of Technology’s student-run advertising and public relations agency. While working with the agency, I contributed to several internal branding and promotional projects that supported the agency’s growth and on-campus visibility.
My work included:
Designing updated sticker sets for student tabling and classroom outreach
Capturing and editing team headshots to introduce the cohort across web and social channels
Creating a print banner ad for Reporter magazine to promote the agency in physical media
Collaborating on the Imagine RIT booth experience, developing digital and print content to showcase TS client work
Designing blog graphics to support the launch of TS’s online content hub
These internal projects allowed me to explore brand consistency, content strategy and visual design in an agency-style setting. I played a key role in reinforcing Technically Speaking’s identity as a creative, student-led agency — while sharpening my skills in print, photography and cross-platform storytelling.
TECH-0039 | Brand Video
Project Overview
To bring the Technically Speaking brand to life, our team created a bold, cinematic video to represent the agency’s identity, values, and impact. Designed for use on the website, social media and recruitment materials, the video used a mix of stylized b-roll, on-screen text, and animated graphics to tell the story of RIT’s student-run advertising and public relations agency. Rather than using interviews or voiceovers, the narrative relied on visuals — capturing authentic behind-the-scenes moments of collaboration, creativity and client work.
My Role
As the lead creative, I helped develop the visual tone of the piece from early storyboarding through final edits. I captured dynamic b-roll footage of our cohort working with clients, brainstorming, sketching, and creating content across tools like Photoshop and CapCut PC. I focused on shots that conveyed movement, energy, and agency culture — from close-ups of design work to group interactions and workspace details. I also supported post-production, helping align motion and visuals to key phrases from the script. The final product reflects the identity of Technically Speaking: bold, collaborative and forward-thinking.

TECH-0045 | TS Stickers
Project Overview
To help increase awareness of Technically Speaking across campus, our team was tasked with refreshing a set of branded stickers for use during tabling events and classroom visits. The project aimed to enhance visual appeal, update sizing options, and introduce two new designs, all while maintaining brand consistency. The stickers were created to make a memorable impression on RIT students, faculty and visitors, with final designs optimized for everyday use — including laptop and desk spaces.
My Role
As the lead designer, I updated 13 existing sticker designs and created 2 new ones. My focus was on adding energy and depth to the visuals by incorporating rounded elements and edge treatments inspired by Technically Speaking’s social media branding. I also adjusted sizing layouts to fit multiple use cases and prepared all files for print production through The Hub. I collaborated closely with our copywriter and project lead to ensure all designs aligned with the campaign’s messaging and print specs.
TECH-0055 | Recruitment Ad
Static Digital Ad + Video
Project Overview
To support recruitment efforts for Technically Speaking, our team developed a digital advertising campaign targeting RIT students in the School of Communication. The campaign included a static image and a 30-second video ad designed for high-traffic SHED digital displays. Both assets emphasized the agency’s mission — to provide students with hands-on, client-facing experience in a flexible, independent, and creative learning environment. The final campaign echoed the agency’s tagline, “Dare to say more…,” and aimed to highlight the bold, forward-thinking nature of the work done within TS.
My Role
As the lead designer, I created a high-resolution static graphic for SHED display screens using a 6:7 ratio (3072 x 3564). The visual was designed to be clean, bold and informative, using brand-aligned fonts and imagery to reflect the tone of the agency. I also supported video direction by contributing to storyboard development and visual design planning, ensuring cohesion between the static and motion elements. My work helped elevate the agency’s visibility and inspired students to consider joining a team that thrives on creativity and collaboration.
TECH-0059 | Imagine RIT Exhibit
Project Overview
For Imagine RIT 2025, Technically Speaking set out to create an engaging and informative booth to showcase the agency’s work and culture to the broader RIT community. The goal of the exhibit was to promote the agency to current students, faculty, staff and visitors through a mix of visuals, interactive elements and personal engagement. The booth included digital media, tabling materials, and a showcase of our client work from the academic year, providing attendees with an inside look at how the student-run agency operates.
My Role
As part of the strategy and content development team, I helped concept and create a digital storytelling experience that highlighted the agency’s process, culture and impact. This included curating visuals, drafting copy and helping organize client project highlights to be featured in our slideshow and printed materials. I also collaborated on booth layout ideas and interactive engagement strategies to attract attendees, communicate our mission and build awareness of the agency during the festival.
TECH-0042 | Blog Maintenance
Project Overview
To enhance Technically Speaking’s digital presence and establish the agency as a thought leader in advertising and communications, our team launched the agency’s first-ever blog. The goal was to create a central content hub to highlight completed client work, discuss industry trends, and showcase the creativity and strategic thinking of the team. Blog posts would be shared via LinkedIn, Instagram and newsletters to increase visibility and credibility with potential clients, RIT faculty, and future student collaborators.
My Role
As the designer on this project, my team asked me to create custom graphics and visual assets to support both the website and social media promotion of the blog. I used Technically Speaking’s brand guidelines to ensure consistency across platforms and collaborated with the writers and editors to design visuals that aligned with each article’s tone and message. These graphics helped bring the blog to life and made the content more engaging for readers.
TECH-0036 | TS Team Photos
Project Overview
To introduce the Fall 2024 Technically Speaking cohort and elevate the agency’s digital presence, I was tasked with photographing each team member for use on the official website and social media. The goal was to produce clean, consistent headshots that reflected the agency’s creative, professional identity and could be used for “About Us” content, team directories and future promotional materials.
My Role
I served as the photographer and editor for this project, coordinating and capturing portraits of all team members. I ensured consistency in lighting, angles and framing, then edited each photo to create a polished, cohesive look. The final images were featured on Technically Speaking’s website and Instagram to introduce the team and showcase the agency’s collaborative culture.
