Rochester Jr. Americans Girls Program
Rochester Jr. Americans
Youth Hockey Program | Social Media & Creative Content
The Rochester Jr. Americans are a competitive youth hockey organization with teams across multiple age groups, including a growing girls' program. As part of the creative team, I’ve worked closely with the girls' program to strengthen its digital presence and showcase the talent, culture and success of the athletes.
In this role, I’ve been responsible for:
Designing Instagram content including gameday graphics, milestone posts, and event highlights
Capturing photo and video content to support team storytelling
Creating a weekly content schedule using Google Sheets to ensure consistent, on-brand posting
Helping produce a brand video to promote the girls’ program and attract new players
My work with the Jr. Amerks has deepened my skills in sports content creation and youth-focused brand development. It’s also allowed me to use my background as a player to connect with audiences and represent the spirit of the program authentically.
JAM-0002 | Rochester Jr. Americans Girls Program Brand Video
Project Overview
To support the rapid growth of the Rochester Jr. Americans girls' hockey program, our team was tasked with creating a promotional brand video that spotlights the organization’s commitment to inclusivity, skill development and advancement opportunities for young female athletes. The video was designed to increase awareness, attract new players and families, and showcase the program’s supportive community. Using game footage, training moments and on-site visuals, the final piece highlights the three core pillars of the Jr. Amerks: hockey for everyone, development for every level and long-term opportunity for collegiate and professional play.
My Role
As the Creative and Production Lead, I directed and captured all visual content, including on-ice footage, off-ice team moments and player interactions. I led the camera setup, coordinated shot lists with the scriptwriter and project manager, and oversaw the entire video editing process. Using CapCut PC and Adobe Premiere Pro, I edited the final cut to reflect the energy, pride and growth of the girls' program. My creative focus was on telling a powerful story through cinematic visuals, dynamic pacing and uplifting music — designed to resonate with young athletes, parents and potential recruiters alike.
JAM-0004 | Jr. Amerks Social Media Content Planning & Maintenance
Project Overview
To elevate the Rochester Jr. Americans girls’ hockey program, I led the planning and creation of Instagram content that highlighted team milestones, gameday information and program updates. The goal was to build a stronger digital presence, engage with current players and families, and showcase the team’s competitiveness and community focus. The content helped position the girls’ program as a leading force in youth hockey across upstate New York.
My Role
As Project Manager and Art Director, I designed all Instagram graphics for the Jr. Amerks girls account, including gameday posts, player milestones and final score updates. I created and maintained a content calendar using Google Sheets to plan and schedule posts consistently throughout the season.
